It's Finally 9/4 and you will not believe how excited I am! I have experienced so much in the time it took me to transition from 24 to 25. I have experienced so much loss and so much gain. I have experience times of plenty and times of much lean. I have had times of deep deep depression, and times of supreme insurmountable joy. I have gained the love, respect, admiration, and friendship of those who truly have my best interest at heart, and completely lost all ties with those I thought had those things in mind. All that I can truly say is that I am indescribably thankful and appreciative for everything, and everyone I have experienced both good and bad. This has been the most tumultuous and rigorous, but perhaps the most beneficial year of my entire life. I want to let those who have been an integral part in my transformation, and ascension know that I am eternally and indescribably grateful and appreciative to you, even if you think the part you played was minor, know that my life was eternally blessed by your contribution. I am in a new city, in a new situation, in a new life, with a new mindset, because of you. Thank you eternally. Salaam Alayakum, Tashakor

Roses For The Living : Alonzo Dixon

HAPPY BORN DAY DAD!!!!
50 Years ago today my Father Alonzo Dixon was born. 25 years ago he became a father when he and my mother brought me into the world. In the time that I have known him my father has been an inspiration and a pillar of manhood in my life. He has instilled in me numerous values, principles and morals and to him I am eternally grateful. I don't thank him for staying, that to me whats his minimal service due. I thank him for going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my brother, mother and I had a comfortable happy life. He is a man amongst men, a light in the community, and a dedicated man of God in charge of Christian Education. Thanks dad for everything you have done for me. You will never know the influence you have had on my life.

Roses For The Living : J.Ivy

Happy Birthday to J.Ivy
The award winning Chicago,Il poet who inspired me to pick the pen back up when I thought I had nothing more to say. He has been featured on The College Dropout album by Kanye West as well as Mcdonalds McCafe series. He is probably my favorite spoken word artist
Here is the poem he spit on the Kanye West Song by the same name
This next piece entitled "Dear Father" is the one that inspired me to write again
